Hair Color Natural Levels
The level system is a range of hair color shades from dark to light.

Dark hair jet black and deep brown has a high amount of melanin the pigment that imparts your hair its natural color compared to lighter hair auburn light brown yellow and blonde.
Brown hair is characterized by higher levels of eumelanin and lower levels of pheomelanin. The lightness increases as the number increases ranging all the way to the lightest blonde shade. Blonde hair has a lower eumelanin level while brown hair has a higher concentration of eumelanin pigments.
In most cases these levels are determined by the natural hair pigment. Better Natured hair color levels range from 1-10 with 1 being the darkest black and 10 being the lightest lightest blonde. Dyes arent easy to sort out either.
Within each color family - coppers blondes browns blacks and grays - there are light medium and dark levels. The level system of hair color is a system used by colorists and hair color manufacturers to standardize hair color charts. Select the Chromatics shade and volume of Chromatics. Developers determine if you are toning getting maximum grey coverage or lifting more than 3 levels. They also usually have medium-thick strands of hair.
